A long-established plant and tool hire firm is enjoying a fresh new image, thanks to a cartoon character called Sid.
SHC Sales and Hire Centre, which has bases in Skipton, Ilkley and Ripon, approached Business Link North Yorkshire when it decided it needed a sharper look.
The result has been a complete stylistic overhaul with Sid, a friendly character who offers advice, appearing on everything from outside signs to the company's website and catalogue.
Clare Gains, who along with husband Nick is joint managing director of SHC, said: "We wanted to create a consistent look across all our branches to give us an instantly recognisable and memorable identity.
"We believe that Sid personifies our operation: warm, friendly and approachable, while being professional and knowledgeable at the same time."
Mrs Gains praised Business Link's personal business adviser Stuart Fuller for his help in coming up with the new strategy.
