How would you like it if four years' supply of toilet rolls landed on your doorstep one day? Well, that's what happened at Keighley Technical College. To say staff were a little nonplussed is putting it mildly. In fact all that happened was a mistake in an order.The excess rolls were quickly returned to the supplier.

Painted in large block letters on the underside of a Wilton carpet stolen from the sanctuary of a Bradford church, was "Stolen from the church of St. Thomas of Canterbury, Horton Bank Top". The carpet is still missing so the Rev. John Wells, priest in charge of the church, suggests to readers of his parish magazine that they must examine with interest any Wilton carpet of similar size to see if any attempt has been made to cover the back.
