Keighley Victoria pulled off the surprise of the day when they held runaway leaders Skipton to a draw.

Skipton had won their previous 11 games, scoring a total of 74 goals and only conceding 12, but this time they had to be content to share the points in a thrilling game. Last week Vics lost 5-1 to lowly St Annes Celtic and went behind again to an early goal, but Saints equalised just before the break.

Skipton were quick off the mark again in the second half, scoring in the first few minutes. Victoria captain Rob Morrisroe put his side level again and although both teams created good chances they could score again.

Silsden Athletic were at home to a youthful Keighley United side and had too much experience behind them. Athletic ran out 3-0 winners thanks to goals from S Christy and J Cunningham (2).

Bocking were disappointing as hosts to St Annes Celtic, going down 4-1. Celtic have improved dramatically in their last two games but in the first half honours were even with both teams finding the net once. In the second half the visitors took command, scoring three goals without reply, scorers were S Wilson, D McManus, T Heap and B McCormack.
