Two Bradford students have been selected in the English rugby league schools squad to face France.

Carl Pryce, younger brother of Bradford Bulls' Great Britain star Leon, and Danny Herbert, pictured left, have both been named in the squad who will meet the French at Hull KR's New Craven Park ground on April 14.

Tong High School pupil Herbert and Pryce, of Buttershaw High School, were selected after impressing with the Yorkshire schools in their recent clashes with Lancashire and Cumbria.

Both have also progressed through the Bradford Rugby League Development Scheme and Bradford Council's rugby league development officer Ikram Butt, the former professional winger who is currently playing with Victoria Rangers, praised the coaches at the schools and those working on the scheme in helping the two youngsters achieve their goal.

"The fact that the lads have reached this level is all credit to the schools and to the Bradford Rugby League Development Scheme," said Butt.
