Northcliffe junior Christopher Howe is claiming the title of youngest golfer to score a hole in one at the course at the age of nine!
The youngster was playing with his dad Andy, a 19-handicap member at the club, when he scored his ace at the first.
He was using the ladies tees, which avoid a long drive over the valley merely to reach safety, and the ball carried just over 150 yards.
The Grove House School boy, who lives in Eccleshill, only started playing just over a year ago and has yet to be allocated a handicap by the junior section.
Northcliffe junior organiser Ralph Anderson said: "He has a great swing and shows plenty of potential. It is certainly quite an achievement at his age."
Previous youngest player to score an ace was Seth Murray, who did it off the yellow tees at the 14th nearly eight years ago at the age of ten.
