WHY was it a green day in Otley.
Well, because Wharfemeadows Bowling Club opened its green for the start of the 2001 Crown Green bowling season last Saturday.
Anyone interested in joining the club, or if they just want to try out the game, they would be most welcome.
Most days members are on the green and would willingly give advice.
In line with the club's commitment to Caring for the Community their junior teaching sessions will commence on Saturday, April 21, between 9.30am and 11.30am for juniors, aged between seven and 16 years.
Already two of the juniors from last season have progressed to one of the club's league squads.
If any junior is interested they should turn up at the green on any Saturday morning.
