More footpaths closed following the outbreak of foot and mouth disease have been reopened in time for Monday's Bank Holiday.
Bradford Council has opened up Silsden footpath, which runs from Keelham Lane in Utley across Keighley Golf Course to Elam Wood Lane in Riddlesden. Tong bridleway, also known as Springfield Lane, which runs from Tong Lane to the Leeds boundary, has also been reopened.
New signs informing walkers that the routes are open have been put up, and more paths are expected to be opened in the next few weeks.
The Council's executive member for the environment, Councillor Anne Hawkesworth, said: "We are opening up more land and footpaths, slowly but surely.
"The Council is maintaining buffer zones to make sure that foot and mouth is not passed on in areas where animals are kept."
More than half of the district's footpaths are now open to the public again, after Council officers judged the risks of spreading the disease on the routes to be low.
Ilkley and Baildon Moor, however, along with any footpaths which cross land where livestock is kept, remain closed.
