Teenagers will join forces to take the ultimate challenge in an outdoor pursuits day.

Up to 40 youngsters will gather in Northcliffe Park, Shipley, on Thursday, May 31, as part of a Bradford South Youth Service initiative.

The 13 to 19-year-olds will form six teams to take part in activities from 10am to 4pm.

They include bridge building, rope swinging, bomb diffusing and a death-slide challenge across a pond.

Community Recreation, a Bradford Council-run organisation which works with youth offending teams, devised the activities.

Lucy Bundy, 25, a youth worker who helped organise the event, said it was a good opportunity for young people to experience working as a team.
