Bradford businesswoman Uzma Bashir Sheikh was last night dumped off a South China Sea island by her fellow competitors in ITV's Survivor programme.

The 30-year-old children's nursery owner was booted off the island after her 'tribe' again lost the immunity challenge - with her colleagues fearing she could not physically cope with any further challenges.

She was the third contestant on the much-hyped show - with a £1 million prize at stake - to be kicked off.

"I was happy to leave. It was my time to go and quite frankly, I'd had enough. I wasn't prepared to be party to bitching and slagging each other down," she said.

"People bothered me. They scared me because of the bitchiness really."

And she told how married Charlotte Hobrough, 24, and 22-year-old Adrian Bauckham started an affair within days of arriving on the South China Sea island of Pulau Tiga.

"Adrian and Charlotte were very, very loyal friends and will remain my friends for life.

"I was the first to find out about them because I was very close with both of them. I think the rest of the tribe members soon realised there was something happening.

"Charlotte felt guilty when she was there, but sometimes things happen."

But she added that "reality shows" tend to bring out the worst in people.

"They show the vicious side of people and vulgarity. I think they show vultures.

"People become vultures, certainly for money."
