Bingley Congs (55 points) and Thornton (53 points) picked up maximum points and pulled away from the rest of the field in Division One.

Congs are now 18 points clear of third-placed Girlington.

Bingley replied steadily and effectively, making the runs for the loss of six wickets, Chris Hemsley scoring 63.

Paul Exley hit an unbeaten 104 in Thornton's 221 for seven, Tony Ousey taking five for 69.

Oxenhope struggled in reply, and, with Joe Blencoe finishing with five for 51, were all out for 136.

Clayton reached 203 for eight, Colin Yorke making 59 and Jason Craig 44 not out.

Crossflatts were then des-troyed by Lindsey Robertshaw, who took eight for 29 as the visitors were shot out for 93.

Irfan Kazi (70) and Nawazish Khan (78) made more than half Girlington's total of 245.

Gary Kingett (67) led a spirited reply, but with Raza Gulzar taking five for 44, Laisterdyke were bowled out for 219 and drop below Girlington into fourth place.

Sandy Lane made a massive 296 for seven at Adwalton, Paul Noble top-scoring with 83. The home side held on for a losing draw at 215 for nine.

Dave Holdsworth (seven for 28) was instrumental in put-ting out Riddlesden for 95.

Buttershaw St Paul's knocked off the runs for the loss of just one wicket, Steve Potter making 57 not out.

Salem Athletic made 207 for eight, Najib Malik scoring 76.

Thornbury made light of their task, Alan Winn (104 not out) and Answar Halim (50 not out) adding 140 in an unbroken second-wicket stand for the winners.

Pudsey Congs failed to make it a day of semi-final celebration yesterday in the Dales Council League.

They won their Cawthorne Cup second team tie against Crompark by 66 runs, and will face Mount in the final.

But the 'first team' went down by three wickets against Baildon Meths.

They will face New Wortley in the final, the Leeds side crushing New Farnley by 121 runs.
