Cambing reached the final of the sir James Roberts Cup yesterday, beating Bradford Gymkhana by three wickets.

But their opponents are not yet known as Daisy Hill Methodists and Muff Field WR tied on 131 runs in the other semi-final. The replay starts at Muff Field tonight (6.45).

The Group A match between York-shire LPS and Amar Milan on Saturday was significant as both teams consisted of 11 Patels. Incidentally, LPS won by 31 runs in what must have been a nightmare for the scorers to maintain their four-point lead at the top!

The Parker family from Daisy Hill Methodists had a lot to celebrate this weekend.

Father Neil scored his first 50 for the second team, for whom eldest son Shaun took five for 18 in their 52-run Group C victory over West Bowling. Younger son Nick, meanwhile, was scoring 54 for the first team in their 90-run triumph over the same opposition in Group A.

Nick shared a fourth-wicket stand of 101 with Iqbal Khan, who went on to score an unbeaten century as Daisy Hill reached 261 for five, Graham Crabtree scoring 41. West Bowling finished on 171 for seven, Stuart Morrison getting 77.

Second-placed Cambing had an easy eight-wicket Group A win over Bradford Gymkhana, thanks to an unbeaten 84 fron Qaiser Mahmood, Colin Rice taking five for 38 as Gymkhana were bowled out for 185.

Mayfield stay third, despite going down to Graduates by 149 runs. Ashfaq Khan made 89 in Graduates' 232, John Beesley taking six for 107. Ashfaq completed a superb all-round performance with five for 23 as Mayfield slumped to 83 all out.

A hat-trick from Bashir Hussain helped Bradford Post office to their seventh win of the season. It increased the Post Office's lead at the top of Group B.

Muff Field jumped from sixth to third after their win against Great Horton Meths seconds. Gary Bond (51) and Nazir Khalifa (46) helped Great Horton to 161 for eight, but an unbeaten 64 from Mohammed Bismillah saw Muff Field home by seven wickets.

Central YMCA opened up a six-point lead in Group C thanks to their nine- wicket win over Queens Park. Muff Field Seconds record their second win of the season when they beat last week's joint leaders Little Horton Unity.
