Gomersal have drawn level with Farsley at the top of the Bradford League second teams Division One table.

Farsley, who were unbeaten in their first ten matches, have lost two in a row while Gomersal have won their last two matches.

Gomersal, who won the Priestley Shield in their first season in the league, beat Hanging Heaton at home by three wickets.

They bowled out the visitors for 130, but struggled in reply and lost five wickets for 62 before Andrew Fearnsides (22) and Kevin Boynton (16) edged them home.

Top scorer Howard Ellis held the Hanging Heaton innings together with 51 while Michael Horner made the early breakthrough, taking four for 41, but their total of 130 was inadequate.

Farsley's second defeat came at home to Cleckheaton who are now in third place.

Steve Brown, who came in when Farsley had lost their first wicket at eight, finished unbeaten on 76 out of 167. He hit four sixes and eight fours.

Although Cleckheaton lost five wickets for 90, Warren Stevenson and Guy Blackshaw put them on track with a stand of 58 and they won with ten overs to spare.

Opener Lee Firth scored 109, but finished on the losing side as Pudsey St Lawrence went down to Baildon by four wickets.

Pudsey scored 212 for six, but Baildon's batting saw them home with 11 balls to spare.

Will Smith (67) and Michael Royce (52) shared a 103-run second wicket partnership.

Bradford & Bingley had a seven wicket win at Brighouse. Adil Rashid, who took all ten wickets against Gomersal last month, was Bingley's best bowler with five for 33 as Brighouse were restricted to 123 for nine.

The visitors raced to victory in 22.4 overs with Robert Walker scoring 75 not out after striking one six and 14 fours.

East Bierley improved their position with four wicket home win against Undercliffe. Neil Dibb held Undercliffe together with 60 but Bierley won with 15.4 overs to spare.

There were two outstanding bowling performances in the match, Jonny Fisher taking six for 26 for Bierley and Jed Din five for 24 for Undercliffe.

Jim Todd scored 92 out of 216 in Yeadon's 97-run home win over Pudsey Congs. Anthony Yielding with five for 23 was Congs' best bowler. Sajjad Ijaz took five for 54 for Yeadon.

Hartshead Moor were top scorers in Division Two with 260 for four in their 96-run win over Drighlington.

Paul Howker took a hat-trick in Idle's eight-wicket win over Manningham Mills. He finished with five for 59 as Mills were bowled out for 132.

Andrew Pullan, who scored a maiden century for Lightcliffe seconds last week, produced a match-winning bowling performance this time. He took six for seven with his off spin to seal an 86-run win at Morley.

David Priestley with five for 27 and opener Paul Kellett with 74 helped Bankfoot to a six wicket win at home to Windhill.
