Embsay defeated First Division championship rivals Thornton by 23 runs at Gargrave .

Second-placed Embsay made 181 for nine as Duncan Bullough top scored with 55.

Scott Robinson claimed five victims as Thornton were dismissed for 158 despite a brave 47 from Kevin Pollard.

Leaders Oakworth shot visitors Haworth West End out for 68. The home side lost four wickets reaching their target.

Haworth moved into fourth place after a six-wicket win at Bradley

The home side were dismissed for 80 with Damian Rowell taking four for 29. Haworth cruised to victory with Jamie Rowell making 31 not out.

Cowling and Barrowford tied. Neil Hargreaves with 85 not out and Liam Roberts (47), helped Barrowford to 191 for five in reply to the home team's 191 for nine.

Skipton CI's Nick Williamson (111) was one of three century makers as his side reached 225 for five at Sutton. The home side replied with 121.

Bottom club Carleton put up a fight at home to Foulridge before losing in the final over. Simon Cox (68) and Neville Allan (62) helped Carleton to their top score of the season, 178 for seven.

Foulridge were going well until Allan took five wickets for ten runs with his off spin, but, with the scores level, he was dispatched to the boundary.

Alan Coney (35) and Richard Granger (32) were the backbone of Long Lee's 151 at home to Pendle Forest.

Pendle made a bad start, losing three wickets for just six runs. Storey (63) and Phil Swarbrick (36) rallied the side, but they were all out for 142.

Cullingworth's march to the top of the Second Division continues.

Their latest win was at neighbours Denholme where they won by ten-wickets after dismissing their rivals for 121.

Chatburn are three points adrift in second place. Stuart Draycott scored 73 as the Ribblesdale side posted 152 for nine at home to Glusburn with Mick Baxter taking five for 39. Glusburn replied with 137.

Ingrow St John's hung on to third spot despite being beaten at home to J Nelson's. The visitors scored 202. The Saints could only muster 63 in reply.

Stan Adams scored 56 as pointless Keighley TC made 133 at Ingrow.

Lee Wilces took six for 32 before Ady Stokes (43), and Adrian Parke (44), opened with 82 to set Ingrow on course for a seven-wicket win.
