Saltaire-based digital giant Pace Micro Technology has become a founding member of a new European-wide industry standards group.
Pace has teamed up with other cable operators and suppliers to form EuroPacketCable Forum.
It will produce European Cable industry focused standards aimed at speeding up the introduction of advanced broadband and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) cable services.
