An 80-year-old woman was dragged to the floor by a man who snatched her handbag.
The incident happened between 6.35pm and 6.40pm on Saturday in Northgate. The woman had got off a bus and was window shopping on her way into Heckmondwike. The suspect pulled the bag from her shoulder, causing her to fall over.
She suffered only slight injuries but the robber, who was white, got away. The £20 handbag contained £13 in cash, a £40 purse and £80 spectacles.
