HARROGATE League side Pool AFC are all set to take on Horsforth St Margaret's in the West Riding County Cup fourth round at Arthington Lane on Saturday.
Pool obviously go into the game as underdogs against the West Yorkshire League side but noone will be looking forward to the challenge more than Pool's most recent signing 'keeper Steve Thompson, a former custodian with the Horsforth side.
For this game Pool have selected - S Thompson; L Ingle, G Evans, G Studds, M Healey, A Staniforth, N Speight, D Willoughby, D Ireland, S Joyce, D Jackson. Subs. D Newbould, G Dobson, M Allinson. (Meet at 12.15 pm for 1.30 pm kick-off).
Pool Reserves look forward to getting back into action and they visit Helperby for a Harrogate League game and have selected - Winterburn, Forbes, Tweedie, Bumby, Martin, Evans, Howden, Shaw, Carter, Kalisher, Forrest. Subs. Megson, Metcalf. (Meet at 12.30 pm, for 2 pm kick-off).
Pool A are also hoping to be back in action with a home Harrogate League game against Ripon City Magnets. They will select from - Beale, Smith, Jones, J Forbes, Taylor, Cowgill, Groves, Tolson, Steval, Wilson, Hall, Payne, Newns.(Meet at 1 pm for 2 pm kick-off).
