A TV production company is hoping ghosts and ghouls could be its key to fame and fortune.

Seventh Sword Productions is in talks with TV channels about a reality show set in a haunted castle.

Run by Drew Hartley, of Stratton Road, Woodhouse, Brighouse, the company is researching plans for a show which would entail guests sitting in the castle and having to face ghostly experiences and study their fear. The last one to remain will be a cash winner.

"There will be a team of people who will be chosen from across the country, but not from the area in which we film it," said Mr Hartley, 29.

"We will put all sorts of suggestions and ideas into their minds about what is going on in the haunted building.

"The whole idea is to scare people and to study their fear."

Cameras set up in the building will hopefully pick up on any paranormal activity.

Mr Hartley, who set up Seventh Sword Productions two years ago after a car accident left him unable to work, said: "The idea sounds a bit vague at the moment, but I can't give too much away.

"It is still at the ideas stage, but we are hoping to have the series commissioned by nat-ional networks.

"It is a massive project and could take quite a bit of organising, but I think it will be snapped up. We need a castle with a lot of history behind it - we are looking in the Bolton area at the moment."

Viewers could be kept constantly up to date with happenings via a website.

Mr Hartley has been involved in the TV industry for ten years. He has worked on adverts, scripting and producing his own work for the Leeds Fringe Film Festival.

He has recruited Greetland man Mark Gibbons and Barbara Green, of Clifton in Brighouse, to work with him on his latest project, as both have an interest in ghosts and are members of the Paranor-mal and UFO Society.
