Townfield is the most popular name among Keighley News readers for the new public area outside the town centre post office.
The name, which recalls the site's history, beat five other suggestions in a vote among local people this month.
Townfield polled 35 votes while its nearest rival Townfieldgate scored 26 votes and other names less than ten each. Townfield -- the medieval name for the area on which the bus station stands -- is also set to become the official address for the adjacent bus station.
Keighley Town Centre Management will put forward the name for approval by Bradford Council's building control department.
Council officers will check with emergency services and local councillors before rubber-stamping the suggestion.
Voters either filled in a form in the Keighley News or completed a form from Keighley Information Centre.
The votes: Townfield 35, Townfieldgate 26, Jubilee Place 9, Jubilee Triangle 4, Queen's Place 4, Queen's Triangle 1.
