Brian Noble hopes Bradford Bulls will do their 'talking' where it matters - in Friday's Tetley's Super League opener at Wigan.

He said: "We have been written off by some pundits and players after the Challenge Cup defeat against Leeds. But we are just concentrating on what we are doing.

"It is a difficult ask to go to Wigan and win, but if we play well we will be there or thereabouts.

"It is difficult to predict the result, but we showed how well we can play there when we led 8-2 at half-time last August in the league.

"We ended up losing 16-10, but that can partly be attributed to a couple of little injuries that affected us. However, we need to stretch that 40-minute display to 80 minutes on a ground where we have traditionally struggled.

"But we laid a few ghosts during last season, and this is one we would like to lay at the start of this season.

"If the pitch is not a quagmire, our aim is to get ourselves playing the sort of rugby we were renowned for last season, and get back in our groove.

"Also we need to lay to rest the Challenge Cup defeat against Leeds, which was pretty disappointing for all of us."
