Norwegian Andre Lindbaek watched City rev up their revival with another win and declared: I want a part of that.

The 24-year-old striker, rated at around £200,000 by his club Molde, was due at Valley Parade today to talk over a possible move.

Lindbaek, recommended to Bantams boss Nicky Law after playing in La Manga, is similar in style to Ashley Ward and was earmarked as a possible replacement. But even though Ward's proposed return to Barnsley has hit the buffers, Law has not ruled out bringing in a new man.

He said: "I don't think it would depend on Ashley going. The chairman has said before there is money available.

"If Wardy does stay, it's someone to play with or someone to share the load. You can't have enough good players."

Lindbaek was in the crowd last night with Leeds midfielder Eirik Bakke, a former Norway under-21 team-mate, as City beat Nottingham Forest 2-1 - their second win in three days.

Lindbaek revealed his dream of following Bakke and the other successful Norwegian imports into English football.

He said: "I think English football suits me and I would love to have the opportunity of playing for Bradford.

"It's normal for those who have played in the under-21s to go on to professional leagues. I played with Bakke, John Arne Riise and John Carew who is at Valencia and it's my dream as well to follow them.

"I would very much like to represent Norway again and the opportunity is bigger if you go to England. The national team manager Nils Semb watches the English game very closely and if I go professional with Bradford it would help.

"My contract expires in December and Molde are very interested in getting a deal done now. We're going to have a meeting with Bradford and hopefully something will happen."

Lindbaek has been at City since Sunday after spending a week's trial with Middlesbrough a month ago.

He added: "I was there for four days and it was good experience but it is always difficult to try and show what you can do in three or four training sessions. That's why it was better for me that Bradford were watching in La Manga and saw me playing for my club."
