Stuart McCall was today linked with the vacant manager's job at Hull City.
The Bantams skipper is currently in his testimonial season at Valley Parade and does not expect to be given another contract when his current one-year deal runs out in the summer.
McCall, who turns 38 in June, is keen to get into the coaching side and could be an appealing proposition for the ambitious Division Three side.
Manager Brian Little was sacked on Wednesday and Hull chairman Adam Pearson said they will not hurry to appoint a replacement. First-team coach Billy Russell will take the job for the rest of the season.
McCall was caretaker-manager for two games at City in November 2000 before Jim Jefferies was appointed. But he turned down the job because he wanted to carry on playing.
McCall said: "I've heard the speculation but I don't know anything about it."
l City manager Nicky Law has dismissed reports linking Ashley Ward with a move to Nottingham Forest."It sounds like sheer rumour," Law said.
