Financial advisor Darren Midgley cod not believe it when he spotted a photo in last week's Keighley News of a mystery boy proudly clutching a haul of fish.
For the beaming young lad, caught on film over two decades ago, was him!
The photo resurfaced after Leeds woman Carol Gamble found it during a clear out.
She had taken the snap at Bridlington for the boy's family and intended to send it on, but lost the address.
All she could remember was that the family came from Keighley.
Darren - now 33 - saw the photo on Monday when he called in at the Keighley News offices to place a birth announcement for his new born son Luke.
"I actually recognised my mum first and then saw me holding the fish," said Darren, of Ridgeway Mount, Keighley. "It came as a bit of a shock.
"I remember we didn't have a camera so this lady took a picture for us and said she would forward it.
"I cannot recall precisely when it was, because we went to Bridlington on holiday many times.
"I am still keen on fishing, and have continued to go sea fishing at Brid each year."
Carol - who gave us the photo in the hope we could trace the boy - said this week that she was delighted the person had come forward.
She told us: "It's great news. I am pleased that he has eventually got the photo, albeit a few years late!"
