A cheque was presented at Ingrow Primary School in support of a children's charity.
The National Children's Homes (NCH) has set up a scheme in Yorkshire to raise money for those less fortunate.
Aimed at schoolchildren, Cedric's Challenge, named after the charity's green dragon mascot, is a fun and educational sponsored game.
The children at Ingrow have used their time and talents to raise £1,129.32.
Judith Reilly, NCH fundraising consultant, visited the school to thank the children for their efforts towards funding 63 projects across the north-east of England. She commented on their support and hard work.
She said: "They had lots of fun doing it and every child has been given the chance to support other local children, making a difference to the lives of those who need it most."
For more information on how your school can take part in Cedric's Challenge, contact Rosemary Walter on 01522 545221.
