WHARFEDALE make the trip to Stourbridge tomorrow for the second time this season in National Division Two, their primary ambition after the fruitless and expensive journey a few weeks ago being to get onto the pitch at Bridgnorth Road, (writes Tony Simpson).

After their hard-earned home draw with Harrogate last weekend, the Dalesmen travel to the Midlands in reasonably optimistic mood and with only the odd change in personnel.

Flanker Paul Evans was banking on a free date when he booked a skiing trip, so that in his absence, Russell Buckroyd moves into the back-row, with Ryan Gains going onto the replacements bench.

Exactly who occupies which position at the base of the scrum so far as Buckroyd and Sam Allen are concerned will probably be a fairly fluid arrangement.

The only other change to last week's side will be that Craig Ingram gets a start to prop, with Neil Dickinson moving onto the bench.

The Dalesmen can expect a stern test from Stourbridge in that the Midlanders are still very much in the relegation zone and need to pick up points to stave off any late rescue bid by Rosslyn Park.

The pair still have to meet, which will probably have a major impact on who stays and who drops, but a win over the Greens would produce a very important couple of points.

Whatever the game means to the Dalesmen, it matters a lot to their opponents.

Wharfedale are looking for another win to close any mathematical possibility of being caught on the run-in, although pressure to collect points should not inhibit performance.
