Youngsters at St Joseph's RC Primary School raised a toast to a delicious fundraising idea.
Pupils and staff at the Ingrow school served up and enjoyed tasty treats including bacon butties and cereal bars to raise cash for Cancer Research UK.
The event was organised as part of Britain's Biggest All-Day Breakfast, with other schools and organisations across the country taking part.
And thanks to plenty of hungry mouths and hard work St Joseph's managed to raise the grand sum of £182 for the cancer charity.
Learning mentor Stephanie Bottomley said: "The event has been run by the learning mentors who have had help from the children.
"We ran a breakfast club, which is something we do every morning for all the children, then we sold toast, cereal bars and juice at break time.
"It has been great fun and getting the children to run the stalls as well has been really good for them.
"For lunchtime the mentors served up a big English breakfast to all of the staff in the new Learning Support Centre and it was enjoyed by all."
Stephanie also expressed her thanks to Learning Centre Support manager Catherine Slack and her fellow mentors Christine Cutler, Yvonne Foley and Lynne King for organising the event.
Last year the big breakfast raised £200,000 for Cancer Research UK.
