After years of planning and talking, Bradford's multi-million pound transport interchange has opened quietly and without fuss. At exactly 6.25am West Yorkshire bus No 670 slipped quietly out of the giant complex, down Bridge Street and off on its way to Leeds, via Rodley. It was the first public transport vehicle to use the interchange - and not one member of the public was on board.

Increases in tolls for stalls in the John Street Market, Bradford, are proposed by the Corporation, Markets and Fairs Committee and will be considered by the next City Council. Proposed increases vary from a sixteenth of a penny per square foot per day, to 18s. for certain stalls on a Saturday.
