A Keighley teenager returned from her Manchester music school to wow judges at a prestigious Bingley festival.

Lucy McLellan won all four of her classes at the Robertshaw Festival with honours grades.

Lucy, 14, of Tarn Wood, Blackhill, has been playing piano for seven years and for the past 18 months has been a student at leading Northern music school Chethams.

She has had success in many music festivals, both in the UK and abroad, and regularly plays charity concerts.

A first prize at Denmark's International Forum for Arts and Education saw her become the only British representative in a prestigious concert in Copenhagen.

Lucy also won the senior piano award at Skipton Music Festival, gaining a place in next month's Emanuel Piano Year 2000 competition in London.

Lucy's visit to the Robertshaw Festival saw her win the piano solo open, the under-16s piano solo, piano study and open piano sonata classes.

Over the next year or so Lucy hopes to be able to play the solo part in a concerto with a local orchestra.
