The £365 proceeds of a charity line-dance in Sutton are flying to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance Service. More than 70 people from the village and surrounding areas attended the event at St Thomas' Hall.

The dance was organised by members of the Howzit Start? line-dancing class led by instructor Christine Shipley.

Line-dancing classes are held every Tuesday evening in the hall.

The Yorkshire Air Ambulance Service was launched in October 2000, and was the first dedicated air ambulance to operate in the county.

The air ambulance relies entirely on charitable funds to raise the £1 million a year cost of keeping the service operating.
