A Glusburn woman is heading with her new husband to Germany, where he is being posted with his regiment.

Lee Brydon, who married Colleen Kelly on March 9, recently completed his infantryman's training with the Duke of Wellington's Regiment.

The couple were married at the Church of our Lady of Mount Carmel Silsden.

A retail concession manager, Colleen is the elder daughter of Paul and Karen Kelly, of Bridge End, Glusburn.

Lee is the only son of Derek and Denise Brydon, of Batley.

The bride wore a silver satin 'A' line skirt with a fishtail thin-strapped fitted bodice with detailed embroidery and diamantes, a short veil and a silver tiara with diamantes.

She carried a cream and lilac bouquet of cream roses, freesias and greenery.

Bridesmaids were Jade Goodrick, Bethan Holloway, Bernadette Kelly (bride's sister) and Shelley Brydon (bride's sister).

They wore lavender dresses with strapless fitted bodices and diamante detail, and had flowers in their hair. They carried smaller versions of the bride's bouquet.

The best man was Phil Cavanagh, the groomsman was Sean Kelly (bride's brother), and ushers were John Masters and Christopher Longbottom (bride's cousins).
