Budding writers will hope to get inspiration from the ghosts of three of the greatest classic authors.

Writing classes are to be held in the house where the three Bront sisters - Anne, Emily and Charlotte - wrote their best-sellers.

The weekend course entitled In the Footsteps of the Bronts will be held at the Bront Parsonage Museum, in Haworth, on April 27 and 28.

The museum's education officer, Andrew McCarthy, said students would get access to objects that were part of the Bronts' daily lives and not normally on display.

"It is hoped that this, combined with the powerful atmosphere of the Bront home, will inspire some new creative voices in Haworth," he said. The course has been organised in conjunction with Bradford University's school of continuing education and runs from 10am to 4pm Saturday and 10am to 1pm on Sunday.
