Returning to a top Brad-ford venue tonight is Keighley band Breene.

The punk-pop trio is playing the 1-in-12 Club with local ska band Flukeshot Frenzy.

Breene is made up of Holy Family School students Kurt Wood (drummer), Eddy O'Dwyer (guitarist), and Chris Smeaton (bassist).

Despite their young age, the trio have clocked up gigs at the 1-in-12, Love Apple and the Turkey Inn since making their debut at a church hall.

Breene have been together for a year and plan to record a new CD in a proper studio in the near future.

Leaders of top 60s groups unite for the Reelin' and a Rockin' show at St George's Hall, Bradford, on Monday.

The show brings together members of the Searchers, Tremeloes, Searchers, Pace-makers and Manfred Mann.

Gerry Marsden was responsible for hits like I Like It, You'll Never Walk Alone, Ferry Cross The Mersey and How Do You Do It.

Mike D'Abo fronted Manfred Mann for hits like Mighty Quinn and Semi Detached Suburban Mr James.

Brian Poole and his Tremeloes reached number three in the charts with Twist and Shout.

Keighley band Soulfish played to an enthusiastic crowd at Lofthouse, near Wakefield, last weekend.

Tomorrow they return home to play their rock and classic soul covers at the New Variety Club, Russell Street, Keighley.

Blondel spent last weekend playing in Birmingham, but on Wednesday the Keighley trio is back on home ground. Hear the band's set of popular covers, including the Corrs, Billy Idol and Bryan Adams, at the Punchbowl in Silsden on Wednesday.

Keiran Means is the next guest at the Bacca Pipes Folk Club, on Friday April 5.

Tonight is singers' night at the club - based at St Anne's Social Club on Spring Gardens Lane - and next Friday the club is closed.

The songs of Freddie Mercury are recreated tonight in a tribute show at Churchill's club in North Street, Keighley. The support act is singer Alannah Graeme. Tickets £5.
