Junior rugby teams travelled to Scotland for a weekend tour and were piped in full regalia piped onto the bus to the strains of 'Flower of Scotland.'
Once in Scotland, as well as swimming, bowling and generally having a great time both teams played two games of rugby. On the Saturday they were guests of Hillfoots RUFC, Sterling.
The Under-13s had a fantastic game winning 59-0 with Rob Stansfield outstanding. The whole team ran the ball very well in heavy conditions with the forwards providing good ball for the backs.
The Under-14s had a tough match against a mixed age group but the Keighley boys stuck to their task well and although loosing 33-14 put up a good show with Craig Spencer on fine form.
On Sunday the touring party travelled to Penecuik with the Under-13s again producing some fantastic rugby to keep a clean sheet and record a 53-0 win with Will Tate leading the way with some hard work fully supported by the rest of the team.
The Under-14s against their own age group faired much better and played a fantastic game of rugby to win 56-7 with Sam Watkinson on top form and Chris Lyle being named man of the match. Highlight of the game was a cracking try from Duncan Steel.
