West Bowling's Lee Hutchinson has put club before glory.

The imposing prop forward turned down the chance to train with the Yorkshire squad to play for the National Conference Division One club he has been with since he was eight.

But West Bowling will be without leading points scorer Lee Innes when they travel to Eastmoor Dragons.

Innes is in the Yorkshire County side to face Lancashire on Sunday.

Bowling's coach Glenn Barraclough will be keen to ensure that his championship- seeking outfit do not repeat their lethargic opening against Askam last week.

They fell behind 4-0 before they eventually turned on the gas to blow the Cumbrian outfit out of the water.

Eastmoor are second from the bottom but they gave Bowling a real scrap in the October meeting at Bankfoot before going down 24-15.

A Bowling success will ensure a berth in the Premier next season.

Victoria Rangers face a nailing-biting last league match of the season knowing they need a win over Guiseley Rangers in order to gain promotion to Pennine Division One.

Phil Hellewell's boys face a tough task against a Guiseley outfit battling hard to avoid relegation, and, if there is a re-run of the previous fixture - in which the Vics managed a desperately close 26-22 win - the fans are in for a real treat.

Odsal Sedbergh will be on tenterhooks awaiting the result.

They are at present in second spot but their inferior points difference will ensure they miss out if the result goes the Vics way.

Second row forward Chris Gardner is their only doubt with an ankle injury.

Division One West Bowling A, who have an outside chance of reaching the Premier, travel to Thornhill for a game they must win.

Bowling are in second place but need others to fail, especially rivals St Josephs who are just five points behind with five matches in hand.

Clayton travel to Elland for their last game certain to finish bottom of the Premier Division.

The Villagers have had their worst season since their formation but coach Paul Gill refuses to be downbeat regarding their future prospects.

He said: "We have to face the best team in the division but we have fulfilled all our fixtures and have been on the wrong end of some close scores all season. The spirit within the club is high and youngsters Craig Pickthall, Chris Parkinson and Danny Murgatroyd have been absolutely magnificent throughout.

"We will give Elland a good game and I am determined we will bounce back next season. Lee Hutchinson is pictured on the charge for West Bowling.
