Bradford Park Avenue face a make or break week in the UniBond Premier with four tough games in eight days starting with tomorrow's visit to Merseyside to face Vauxhall Motors.

Avenue have to recover from two recent shock defeats.

The Ellesmere Port side are a comfortable fifth in the table while Trevor Storton's men are just five points clear of the drop zone and perilously close to the relegation play-off place.

Following the away fixture, the Bradford club host Altrincham on Monday, travel to Gateshead on Wednesday and then must prepare for next Saturday's home match against Barrow.

"This is the week when we will find out if we are good enough to stay in this division," said Storton.

"There will be a much clearer picture of who is under threat and which teams are safe after the next eight days.

"There are enough games left for us to pull away and even though the clubs below us are beginning to pick up points it is still down to us, its in our own hands.

"I think that two wins from our last eight games will be enough. We will be looking to get them as quickly as possible and then we can concentrate on the League Cup final against Accrington Stanley."

The boss is still hoping to sign another two players before Sunday's transfer deadline but is waiting on developments.

"Moves are in the pipeline and I'm sure the deals will done before the deadline," added Storton.

Second top scorer Jason Maxwell returns to the squad for the Vauxhall game after missing the 1-0 home defeat to Hucknall Town in midweek with illness.

Farsley Celtic eased their own relegation worries in Division One with a tremendous 3-1 win over promotion chasing Gretna on Wednesday and new signing Michael Midwood, who marked his Celtic debut with a hat-trick, will again lead the line.

The visitors to Throstle Nest are Eastwood Town, they are still in the frame for a place in the promotion play-offs.

Celtic welcome utility man Gary Shaw back into the squad.

He was unavailable for the Gretna game, and Stuart Beech who signed last week along with Ossett Town team mate Midwood is likely to retain his place in the starting line up. Guiseley have seen the odds on them reaching the play-offs lengthen considerably after two away defeats and they are on the road again tomorrow as they head for third placed Leek Town.

With leading joint scorer Ryan Senior recovering from a knee injury, manager Neil Parsley names the same squad who on duty last time out.
