A Liversedge school has received a £4,000 award to be shared between staff who helped raise its standards.
In Autumn, the governors of High Bank First School and Early Years Unit praised headteacher Michelle Lee and her staff for taking the school from an E* to an A* rating against similar schools in the country and an A against all schools.
The governors have now announced that their praise has been backed up by the Government award of £4,000 to be shared between all the staff who were at the school at the time.
