More than 1,000 enthusiasts turned up on the opening night of Bradford's newest bingo hall in the hope of winning a big cash prize.
Almost every table was taken at Buckingham Bingo in Bradford's Interchange and as players raised their complimentary Union flags and sang Land of Hope and Glory, staff were busy filling their glasses with champagne.
T&A Bingo competition winner Maureen Newsome, who scooped £5,000 in our competition, also joined in the fun.
The former bus depot has seen a £3 million revamp into a glitzy modern club. Deputy Mayor of Bradford, Councillor Irene Ellison-Wood, was on hand + pen poised - for a few quick games.
For General Manager Barry Cox, this was the tenth bingo club he had opened, including two in America. "The people of Bradford are lovely - they have been really friendly and it's up to us to return that welcome," he said
With countless games of bingo a visit from Charles and Camilla lookalikes Patricia Dorman and Peter Hugo, pictured, a cabaret and stand-up entertainment from comedian Billy Pearce, there was something for everyone.
