The Division 2A pacesetters Heaton United cut down 1B leaders Chellow 4-1 in their Intermediate Cup semi-final and have a double firmly in their sights.

Andy Yates set United on the way before Mansoor Hussain doubled the lead before the break.

Chellow were reduced to ten men but managed to halve the deficit.

Yates grabbed his second to put United in control before Atif Hussain struck a final blow.

In the Bradford Sunday Alliance League (Sponsored by Leisure Management) Division 2A, Idle Tigers completed their programme with a 6-1win at Ring O'Bells.

Tigers must now see how other results go to see if they can win promotion as runners-up.

They took the lead after 20 minutes with a 30-yard daisy cutter from Mick Marriott.

Steve Brooksbank took advantage of fine Daz Mitchell crosses scoring three times with his head.

With the score 4-0 at half-time the game was nearly won despite a fightback by Bells. Idle continued to rule. Man-of-the-match Barry Passmore drove home a 20-yard goal for Brooksbank and Daz Mitchell glided in past several players to grab a deserved goal and Tigers' sixth.

In Division 2B Woodman took a point against champions Waggoners, again fielding a young team. Steve Smith put Waggoners in front with their 100th league goal to take the lead at the break. Danny Bailey scored for Woodman to earn a well-deserved point.

Ring O'Bells Shipley confirmed the runners-up spot with a 2-0 away win over mid-table Fagley. Johnny Attwell set Bells on the way to victory. Paul Morris added a second before the end.

Post Office remain in third spot and have a slim chance of promotion depending on the league structure for next season after a 4-0 win over Prince of Wales. Cameron Ali was on target three times for Office. Steve Drake added a fourth.

In Division 3A Bankfoot Lions dented Queensbridge's automatic promotion hopes after they won 2-1. Queensbridge took the lead but Lions were brought on level terms thanks to a 25-yard strike from Kim Brown. He received the ball, looked up and spotted the keeper off his line. Phil Greenan was then on target with a spectacular free kick from the edge of the box. United now have to win the remaining fixtures, one against Coach & Horses, who at present are second in the table.

Harps consolidated their championship position with a fine 6-2 win over Horton United. Chris Hannah showed class up front again with a spectacular hat-trick. Mark Greenwood added a brace before Jason Conroy continued his scoring form with a solo.

Buttershaw are all but assured of promotion and sit proudly at the top of Division 3B waiting for the crown, which must surely come. Paul Blake and Andy Butterworth were on target for Star in their 2-0 win over Eccleshill Sunday Reserves.

Sycamores' push for promotion from Division Four continues with two wins in four days. They stand a good chance of going up after their midweek defeat of Crown Reserves 6-1. On Sunday they defeated Stocksbridge Victoria 6-0, Paul Moorhouse on target four times.
