Many villagers turned out to watch Ilkley MP Ann Cryer unveiling the plaque to commemorate the reopening of Addingham's Memorial Hall.
Last Saturday Ann Cryer unveiled a plaque in honour of the late Hilda Holmes along with Phyllis Holmes, her sister.
The plague commemorates former Addingham resident Hilda Holmes, who provided £240,000 so the Memorial Hall, Main Street, Addingham, could be given a facelift.
The £240,000 has enabled the hall's Management Committee to provide a room for the playgroup and a place for the drama group to store its scenery.
The hall has been redecorated, its floors have been repolished, the kitchen has had a revamp and an entrance lobby has been built.
Benefactor Hilda Holmes moved to Addingham in 1923 and lived in Hallcroft Hall until they built Littlecroft, which is now the Rectory.
Hilda's hobby was photography and her collection of photos and slides are now on display in the Manor House, Ilkley. She died in 1991 aged 91 years.
