A Bradford father has launched an appeal against an order to demolish his son's playhouse.

Steven Miller built the tree house, right, and shed for his eight-year-old son Conor to give him and his friends a safe place to play.

Mr Miller said the buildings have been up for more than four years with no problems, until a neighbour complained to Bradford Council following an argument between the two families.

Counil planning officers say the buildings are considered 'visually unattractive' for the area and served an Enforcement Notice on Mr Miller, instructing him to demolish the structures at his home in Harrogate Road.

Anyone who would like to make their views known to the appeal should write to the Department of the Environment, Transport and Regions, 3/06b Kite Wing, Temple Quay House, 2 The Square, Temple Quay, Bristol, BS1 6PN, quoting reference APP/W4705/C/02C1089771, within 14 days.
