From a position of relative strength Burley collapsed from 50 without loss to 91 all out against Guiseley whose bowlers applied a stranglehold and the wickets fell at regular intervals. Andrew Paley finished with 6-35 off 15 overs and Peter Graham with 3-19 off 18 miserly overs.

Guiseley's batsmen had fared little better as Nick Brook claimed six wickets at a cost of 74 runs from 25 overs as they were dismissed for 137.

North Leeds took advantage of joint leaders Adel being out of action to pull clear at the top of Division A. Adel's game at Menston was washed out but North Leeds made it four wins out of four games with a nine wicket hammering of Rawdon. This was despite a fine knock of 53 from Jamie Davey.

Nick Richardson and Barry Singleton each bagged four wickets as Rawdon were bowled out for 151. David Yates and Rob Winter then hit undefeated half-centuries as victory was gained.

An opening stand of 141 was shared by Follifoot's Brian Smart and Paul Miller as their side hammered Beckwithshaw by nine wickets. Miller made an unbeaten 95 as they overhauled the Beckwithshaw score of 169-8. Smart's contribution was 61. For Beckwithshaw Kevin Lowe top scored with 64.

Green Lane picked up six points from their nine wicket win at home to Bilton. Barry Mc Cormick took 4-71 off 17 overs and Gareth Lee 3-34 off ten as Bilton were restricted to 173-9.

Lane's batsmen immediately took up the challenge after losing Simon Curry for six and Chris Cay hammered a superb unbeaten 101 and Gareth Lee an unbeaten 57 as they shared an unbeaten second wicket stand of 153.

Steeton picked up five points from a drawn game with visitors Collingham after posting a magnificent 284 with Australian Grant Lindsay making 87 and Robert Wynn 53. Collingham replied with 151-9 hanging on for the point after opener M Cook had hammered 88.

Ilkley hosted Hall Park and were put out for 127 as former Bradford League bowler Bob Hodson claimed 6-50 off a 22 over stint. He was well backed up by Peter Weedon who took 3-19. The only Ilkley batsmen to show any form on a murky, rainy day were opener Anthony Cadman with 43 and Chris Henry with 22 at the tail.

Hall Park knocked off the runs for the loss of seven wickets after a bad start in which they lost three wickets with just one run on the board as Richard Simpson struck with a 5-45 haul off 18 overs.

Pool took all six points from their game at home to Skipton who they dismissed for 125 with Mark McEneaney producing an excellent spell with 6-31 off 13 overs.

Opener Steve Wood then hit 31 and David Murphy 42 not out as Pool coasted to a four wickets win.

Otley capitulated for 97 to visitors Kirkstall Educational for whom Neil Walmsley took 4-23 off 16.4 overs. Matthew O'Grady was top scorer with 21. Australian Joshua Rudolph tried his best to keep Otley in the game with a 2-19 return off 11 overs but Kirkstall gained a five wickets win.

Calverley made a useful 218-6 thanks to a good start by openers S Alred (61) and A Carroll (64). They then dismissed Bardsey for 113 with R Thornton taking 6-51 off 17 overs.

Tong Park were dismissed for 185 with Knaresborough's T Metcalfe and R Procter each picking up four wickets. Knaressborough went on to win by five wickets with useful knocks from Jonathan Corcoran (46), S Carey (41) and J Pickles (31).

IN Division C Pool Mills visited high riding Bolton Villas and after losing the toss were put in on a very wet wicket which would make run getting very difficult.

Bernard Thornton and Keith Wilkinson started brightly enough taking the score along to 30 before Wilkinson was out for 15. Another wicket soon followed before Clive Baldwin and Thornton took the score along to 74 before Thornton finally fell for 31. Baldwin was playing a lone role in trying to build a decent total while wickets fell all around him. He went on to make a fine 52 in a final score of 135 as M Hay returned a fine 7-49 off 20 overs.

The Mills bowlers set about trying to contain the home batsmen and to a certain degree Richard Wilkinson did this with 1-33 off 23 overs. The fielding was excellent, particularly one catch from Patrick Parker in the deep.

In a match reduced to 42 overs a side Olicanians gained a winning draw against Alwoodley. Put in to bat Olicanians made 204-3 with opener Micky Missett making 102 not out off 122 balls. He was given good support by Duncan Ralphs who hit 58.

Some tight bowling by the home attack reduced Alwoodley to 129-7 with Bernard Hughes taking 3-53 and Kevin Connolly 3-41.

Ben Rhydding were dismissed for 73 as Harden's Martin Beattie produced an excellent return of 7-25 off 18 overs. Only number seven Jamie Wilkinson with 30 showed any real resistance.

Harden then knocked off the runs for the loss of five wickets, Tony Todd claiming 4-25 off ten overs.

Addingham succumbed to a Thackley side who set them a target of 204 with opener J Trees making 51 and Chris Luxton and P Dover 50 each. Addingham made a poor start and were 17-3. This quickly became 41-6 and they were all out for 81.
