THE FA Charter Standard has been presented to Ilkley AFC and Juniors. The presentation was made by Reg Allwood, Wharfedale's representative on the West Riding County FA; and representatives of Nationwide BS (FA national development scheme sponsors).
For the presentation the Ilkley club had a display and information desk in the entrance to Booths Supermarket, their main sponsors.
The Charter Standard is a prestigious and coveted award atttained by only a small number of clubs in the region. It will enable Ilkley AFC and Juniors to expand the club's role in the development of football around Ilkley alongside key partners - local schools and sport clubs, Bradford Sport Development Unit, and the WRCFA.
