Gloomy weather was not enough to keep the visitors away from the Cross Hills and Glusburn Gala last weekend.
Despite the grey skies there was still a good turnout to watch the procession.
Led by the Bradford City Pipe Band, the procession, including the Scouts, Guides and Brownies and floats with Gala Queens from neighbouring towns and villages, made its way from Malsis School to South Craven School where there were amusements and stalls.
Because of the poor weather some of the stalls and the crowning of Gala Queen Sophie Reape had to be held in the school hall, which was decorated as a street party with a Golden Jubilee theme.
The gala, however, was a big disappointment for organisers, who have decided to step down.
They have blamed the lack of procession entries and 'general apathy from many local organisations' - which they say has made it the hardest one they have organised.
This year's street collection raised just £293, around £100 down on last year.
The committee thanked all those who have helped them over the years and hope that a new committee can be formed to enable the gala to continue.
