Detectives raided two homes in Keighley yesterday morning and arrested two men in connection with the stabbing and beating to death of Qadir Ahmed.

An 18-year-old man and a 23-year-old man are being questioned by murder squad detectives and other inquiries are on-going, said a police spokesman.

It brings to ten the number of men arrested in connection with the killing of Qadir - of Gordon Street, Keighley - who was attacked on February 13 near Victoria Park roundabout.

Three have been charged with murder. They are Amjad Ali Azam, 20, of Surrey Street, Keighley, Mohammed Nazim Iqbal, 26, of Salt Street, Mannigham, Bradford, and 22-year-old Zulfaqar Ali Asif of Bradford Road, Keighley. Asif is also accused or robbery, possessing drugs, a handgun and ammunition.

Five accused of conspiracy to murder are Parveez Ashraf, 25, of Victoria Park View, Keighley; Zahid Bashir, 26, of Emily Street, Keighley; Aqaf Younis, 18, of Buxton Street, Keighley; Mohammed Rafiq, 20, of Chatsworth Street, Keighley, and Atif Younis, 21, of Buxton Street, Keighley. All eight have been remanded in custody.
