The concert on Saturday, June 1 will start at 7.30pm and admission is £4 for adults and £2.50 for accompanied children.

n Local dance organisers are holding a special event to celebrate the Queen's Golden Jubilee on June 5.

MC Maurice, MCs Flo and Harry, and MCs Joyce and Deryck will all be appearing at the jubilee dance from noon to 5pm in Victoria Hall.

A variety of styles including modern ballroom, old time, sequence and Latin American dancing will be catered for.
