Seventeen-year-old Lindy Jowitt was the only girl taking part in the district heat of a national golf competition - and led her team into the next round.
The South Craven School team could now be on their way to the Belfry in September.
Lindy, Chris Fell, 16, and Robert Cotterall, also 16, came fourth place in the first round of the British Heart Foundation National Junior Championship at Cleckheaton Golf Club.
The South Craven golfers, were up against 31 other teams from schools and golf clubs in the area. Chris Fell completed his round with the best score of the day and partnered Lindy, whose father owns the driving range in Silsden.
Although they did not win a prize, they now go through to the regional round, to be played at Strensall near York in July.
If they are among the top teams there they will be playing at the world famour Belfrey course in the Belfrey for the final at the world famous midlands course in September.
