One year out of the ring and Bobby Vanzie is back in business - with Frank Warren.
The disgruntled lightweight's decision to team up with British boxing's most famous promoter has paid immediate dividends, having been handed a place on the undercard of Ricky Hatton's WBU light-welterweight title defence against Ireland's Eamonn Magee.
"I am delighted to be stepping back into the ring," said Vanzie, who is yet to hear who he will be taking on in the ten-round contest at the MEN Arena next Saturday.
"I have fought for just 70 seconds in the last 12 months so it is a huge relief to be back. I am a fighter and I can't wait to fight. I will show everyone what Bobby Vanzie can do."
Vanzie claims Warren has promised him a shot at the WBO world lightweight title in October if he wins.
