Nicky Law today declared 100 per cent confidence in Bradford City playing First Division football next season.

Despite just five senior players in his squad, and the club facing threats of league expulsion, Law believes come August there will be no change.

"It is just business as usual for me," said the manager, who has faced a tricky time since arriving at the club at the beginning of the year.

"I have no doubt that our players and our team will be competing in Division One next season. A lot of other clubs will be viewing this situation with interest. I wouldn't be surprised if they follow the path we have been forced to take.

"If the league do kick us out, they will have to kick out all the others who do the same. There cannot possibly be a situation where the season starts with just 60 teams."

Law believes all the talk about being booted out of the league is just hype.

"I had this before at Chesterfield when there were questions about administration," said Law. "It is just speculation, things will continue as they are."

But Law doesn't subscribe to the doom and gloom approach of others who believe that the Bradford cull has jeopardised the structure of football.

"If players are good enough they will find somewhere to play," said Law.

"Quality footballers will be playing next year - those who are not good enough will not.

"There will be a lot of people looking for clubs this summer." And it is from this pool of players that Law will have to begin his search. The administrators have told him he should start to pad out his five-a-side team, well ahead of the start of the season.

"I know there is not a huge pot of money to use for players," added Law.

"But I have to be looking around now so that when new owners come in, we can go out there and get who we want.

"I am looking forward to building a squad and getting back to playing First Division football."
