Circus skills were on show at East Riddlesden Hall on Monday.

Performers from Curious Eyebrows were at the 17th-century hall to entertain visitors with a range of pursuits, from juggling to stilt walking.

Children had the chance to try their hand at the skills, and there was a family show.

An estimated 400-plus people visited the National Trust property on Monday, and visitor figures for the year so far are 3,000 up on 2001.

Liz Houseman, visitor services manager at East Riddlesden Hall, said: "We have got more members coming back to us, and I think there is increased awareness of what the National Trust is offering.

"We are very pleased with the numbers."

A patchwork and textile exhibition begins in the Airedale Barn on Tuesday and runs until September 11. It will be open during normal hall opening times.
