Robbie Blake today admitted it was all change at City since he left for Burnley in January.

Blake returns with the Clarets tomorrow, the first time he has played at the Bradford & Bingley Stadium since his £1million move across the Pennines.

He said: "I look at the team compared to a year ago and there have been a lot of changes but they've still been doing well.

"I still speak to a few of the lads but the likes of Gary Locke and Eoin Jess have moved on.

"Ashley Ward is still there and he was great to play alongside. He is very strong and would always run his socks off."

Blake came on as substitute when the sides last met at Turf Moor in March and, although he is itching to be involved tomorrow, may have to start from the bench again.

He added: "I always had a fantastic relationship with the fans at Bradford and they were great for me in the five years I had there.

"They gave me a good cheer when I played against Bradford at Turf Moor last season but when you go back to a former club you always expect there might be a few jeers.

"The two clubs are quite similar really although Burnley is by tradition a bigger club. But I had a great time at Valley Parade. There were obviously big problems in the summer at Bradford but I am just glad that they kept going."

City boss Nicky Law is expecting a physical encounter and wants an improvement at free-kicks.

He said: "We have six six-footers in the side and we should be defending and attacking them better."
