A Silsden youngster more used to delivering news is making the headlines herself.

Keighley Target delivery girl Holly Brown, 13, has scooped a coveted prize.

She has received a portable colour TV after being named distributor of the month -- for the region's free titles -- by Newsquest, owner of the Keighley News and Target.

Checks carried out on the delivery record from over 3,000 rounds -- covering 16 titles in the Bradford and Lancashire area -- placed Holly in top spot.

Holly, who attends South Craven School, Cross Hills, said: "I've been delivering the paper for about nine months and although I already had a TV it's great to win this one -- I'm really pleased."

Bryan Mills, responsible for distribution in the area, added: "Holly scored perfectly. Out of all the rounds Holly's didn't have any complaints.

"She is always on time and makes sure everyone receives their papers. We're really pleased for her, she deserves it."
